spitfire snowcross build
building a late 70s 340 spitfire for my snow cross sled for the light weight and one have any information on aftermarket gears or where to get them ???

I think spit fires are direct drive the only gear is in the track

Ya, tough to get gears into a sled with no chaincase , adding a chaincase seems like blasfimy (sp) to me.....but I also dont know how much power the stock drivers and secondary could take if a larger motor was added. They had about 2"'s of travel so any jumping would require a lot of stiffening in the front and some sort of new skid design in the back.

They did come with either 7 lug or 8 lug drivers. That would be the only 'gear' change you could make.
