Speedo thingy!!
Does anyone know if that little cable thingy that goes from right angle drive to axle is available or is it a scavenger part? Looked at two already both twisted off.

If you're asking about the square speedo key/shaft, they are widely available. New breed has them.

The knurled thumb screw is still available from Deere. Part number M63672. I retain them with a round piece of aluminum sheet that I cut a small hole in, then snip a notch into the side of the hole so I can thread the thumbscrew into it. Put the screw into the panel, thread the retainer on it, bend the notch down, and it will probably stay.
The speedo drive key is made of speedo cable. So it is a twisted cable essentially. So, you have 2 options to remove it: if there is some of it sticking out, you may be able to grab individual wires and pull them out. This probably is a waste of time, but hey take a shot. Drilling it out is problematic as it is in a square hole. Even if you can successfully drill it out, you may have messed up the square drive. The other option is to replace the entire drive bushing from the driveshaft. You can drill the old one out and replace the whole thing. I'm thinking the hole in the driveshaft is 1/4" or something like that. You Loctite the new one in and you are all set. The guys hoarding the NOS parts have these, as they were included in Speedo installation kits. Some of the guys have been using those kits just for the hardware.
