Re: Running on Fumes: Rocking the I-500...

Great Story--Glad your OK and congrats to the riders who completed the event. Next year's your turn JOE !!!!! Wish I had the guts to try it but don't think my back could take that much VINTAGE POUNDING . I need that new suspension stuff to ride more than 20 miles or so.

Re: I Give Up, Time To Rip It Down

I had a 1980 Liquifire and had continualy mechanical problems with it as well------I have owned other FAN COOLED DEERES and found them to be extremely reliable-----I sold that Liquiifre and for some reason have no desire to own another liquid cooled deere sled. Good Luck with your re-build and hope ...

Re: What happened?

I think the $850 is a spot on price for what that sled was worth. Prices have been dropping on most sleds in the past year---Money is tight and I really think that the price on all but the race sleds may have peaked a couple years ago. I don't think the fact that it is an 84 makes it worth really an...

Re: COUNTDOWN to the HOF

I just got back from St GERMAINE. Trails are virtually unrideable--I mean you can still ride but just like last season it's really BAD !!! Still time though--lets hope a big snow or at least several smaller ones come through before then.

Re: UPS Lesson Learned !!!

I used the ole standby USPS for my seat to john---don't remember the charge exactly but I did compare it to UPS and the POSTAL SERVICE was much cheaper----maybe took a day or 2 longer but I was in no hurry. USPS--still the best deal in shipping for anything you don't need in a day or 2.

WALBRO Wd-34 carb question

I am working on rebuilding a Walbro WD-34 carb. Going to buy the rebuild kit and take a stab at cleaning it up and rebuilding it. Sled hasn't been run in 26 years so I am going thru the fuel system / lines and carb before I attempt to start it. Question I have is it seems by looking at the carb and ...
