after sitting for 25 years I restored my 80 liquifire. I expected breakdowns to fix. had two first thing- brake block and coolant leak. 100 miles later I believe I am the weak link.

handlebar heaters

Handlebar heaters on 1980 liquifire get to hot. I see where u can wire them different and cuts them down by one-half. Is this the way to go or is their a way to use a high/low switch? please explain if so.

thanks guys, the filter and lines are all new and using klotz oil. bleeding line from tank to pump.

1980 liquifire oil line bleeding

tried bleeding oil line as the manual instructs. the air bubble still there because the oil would not flow through pump with bleed plug out and wide open on pump. is there a secret to get air bubble out?

1980's liquifire thermostat

In need of a thermostat for my 1980 liquifire. Original thermostat either went bad or previous owner seen no need of it. Is their any out their? Any possibility Napa has one that will work?

mine was $200.00. new cover, new wood, and some foam repair. I thought is was reasonable. I know it is far better than I could of done. He only had it one week.

1980 liquifire exhaust question

I am missing the straps- part number m67661, on my exhaust. can anyone tell me what material they are made from and thickness, or are they necessary? not sure of their purpose- was thinking either vibration dampener or heat barrier.
