Re: Cyclone with bogies

Time for an update. Got some parts tonight. The correct 34-83 carb and a Fire Plug CDI box. http://www.jnutter.com/snowmobiles/9-23-09%20Cyclone/000-IMGP0579.JPG I have been anxious to hear it run, so I started putting stuff together. http://www.jnutter.com/snowmobiles/9-23-09%20Cyclone/003-IMGP0582...

Re: Poll, Re-pop metal JD parts

Wycrumb, As was pointed out earlier, check the availability of the 3.29 pitch drivers for the rubber tracks. A year ago I tried to order some from Pat's Small Engine Parts and was told by Pat's that the manufacturer had discontinued them and they could no longer get them. I checked DK and the web si...

Re: Make A Wish Project 340/S kickoff

Can someone fact check something for me? I looked up the individual sheaves for the 340S on JDparts.com and it looks like just those two pieces of the 340S secondary cross to several tunnel mount sleds (except the 300). Part numbers for the sheaves appear to be AM53546 and A53741.The whole assembly ...

Re: grab bar

If anyone on the board knows of a shop that can do computer tube bending, speak up.
I have used this place to get bent tubing for prototypes for work:

Their quality is excellent.

Re: Cyclone with bogies

The seat is actually a Trailfire seat. I think you are on the right track with the extra padding idea. I think it's going to get a customized Sportfire/Liquifire seat before I'm done. Wonder if my Wife will show me how to run the sewing machine when I try to make a seat cover? http://www.jnutter.com...

I'm breaking this up so I don't get too many pictures in one post. Re: Cyclone with bogies

I was a little amazed at the work they did. Can't scrap something that someone else worked so hard on - aside from the fact that I can hardly ever bring myself to scrap a sled anyways. Compression checked out OK. The other cylinder was maybe 5 PSI lower. http://www.jnutter.com/snowmobiles/9-2-09%20f...

Cyclone with bogies

I got this sled last week. It's kind of an oddity. Looks like someone converted it to 100 series bogies and track. I think they did a decent job, so I'm in the process of resurrecting it. http://www.jnutter.com/snowmobiles/9-2-09%20finds/000-1.JPG Nice beer can! Never =know what you'll find stuck in...

After market CDI boxes

Thanks.

Mine turned out to be OK, just had a bad ground. It's good to know that the after market boxes work OK. Sooner or later I'm sure I'll need one.

After market CDI boxes

I have seen a few different kinds of CDI boxes for my '80 TF. Prices vary a lot and some look different than others (in the catalog photos anyways). Does anyone know if any of these work better than the others? http://www.mfgsupply.com/m/c/163-104.html?id=dekWTkNs http://www.psep.biz/store/john_deer...
