I was wondering the same thing; why are so many dators missing the airbox?

I just ment that with battery hooked up and cranking away, i could get a better look at the spark colour and consistence. Anyway put new coils on and have since had it running.

Most of the early jd sleds have for a carb a walboro, but some had the bendix. The 400 being one of them, maybe the only one; i`m not sure. I got a 400 from oldslednut and he had put a keihin on it. I gave it a fresh coat of paint, put in a new fuel door, had to make my own 400 sign for the fuel door,new jamco windshield, ran new fuel lines, cleaned the carb and flushed out the fuel...

Thanks for the info guys. The timeing is fine but no one i had talked to had sugested check valves, so i will try that angle.

My 80 LF oil injection pump gave trouble a couple years ago. The trouble was it would take a way to much oil through. I just quite using it and have since been mixing oil with the gas. I was just wondering if anyone else had had this same problem.

Just a couple of ??s for you liquidator owners. Most deere sleds are not more than 400 pounds; i noticed in the facts on the dator that it weighted 500. I was just wondering how the dator was built different to weght that much more. Also what kind of speed the dator could get up to?
