Seems like all the aftermarket throttle cables for the 76-78 sleds are too short. Anybody know of something else that works or has some NOS ones?
Thanks

Cyclone Clutching
I bought a brand new Comet #212600A clutch from a friend for a very good price for my 78 Cyclone 440. I installed a new silver spring (from new breed) and NOS R weights AM54279. The NOS R weights were hitting the inside of the spider so had to grind out some material on the insides of the spider whe...

Re: Fire Series Rear Suspension
Thanks Harleysporter. I have seen on some old post that you have done this conversion more than once so I might have some questions for you when I get started. Helping my dad restore a 1955 ford crown Victoria right now and we want to get it done by spring so my free time has been with him working h...

Fire Series Rear Suspension
I know members on this forum have narrowed and put 1980 Liquifire suspensions with cat tracks in there 76-78 Cyclones and Liquifires and call this suspension as close to 78 CC suspension as it gets. Is 80-84 the same suspension in all the fire series? im looking to do this conversion in one of my Cy...

Finally a 78 Cyclone 440
I have been looking for a 1978 Cyclone 440 for a while and I'm always a day late or missed the sale. I've know about this sled for about a year and got the call today that he wanted to get rid of it so I dropped what I was doing and went and picked it up. The sled is in very good shape and very very...

Re: 76 Cyclone Tach wiring
That part number comes up for the mid mount snowmobiles with points ignition. Does the tach have a fuse in line of the yellow/red wire? If it does not then it will not work for you ignition

Re: Rails for slide rail susspension?
This is starting to get interesting that nobody can identify these rails. Yes I am positive the rails from a 77 are the same as a 76, as I have both. I also had some rails from the mid mounts to compare, as Jason showed in his pictures. What would be the benefit to moving the front pivot arm to the ...

I just started rebuilding my own idler wheels and have had good luck so far. Are you guys saying that the bearings I have been getting from McMaster will not hole up very long?

Secondary/Driven clutch sheave bushing
Does anybody know where to get the bushing that is in the driven sheave? Part#M 66381 Bushing. Not talking about the Nylon bushing in the helix.
This is for my Cyclones but I think this Driven clutch was used on the later models as well.
Thanks
Andy
