I need to split the case on this engine, but am unsure what is used to reseal the halves after new crank seals are installed. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I don't coat the seals with sealant, but I do make sure where the seals sit in the case halves so very clean. I usually use a red scotchbright pad to shine things up and I make sure the grooves for the seal rib is clean and smooth.
