Re: eppjd where are you?
Lol. We got it all sorted at waconia. Duane had pm'd me about a week ago, but it was s_kyle who had bought the motors. I forwarded the message from Duane to Scott, Scott contacted Duane, but due to some miscommunication the messages weren't received. Just glad we were able to take the stuff off Duan...

11r 22.5 tires
I'll be headed down to Waconia again this year. Wondering if any of you in the states know of a good place to find recap semi tires? Most likely will be taking I-29 to Fargo, and continuing on I-94 to near Minneapolis again. I'm looking for 4 11r 22.5 recap tires (grips), and possible 2 new steer ti...

77 Liquifire rear shock
Sorry for the delay, Loyd. It seems if I don't get to things right away, procrastination takes over. All I could find in my file about the shock absorber is that I bought it from Shade Tree Powersports. It was part number 02-242, hydraulic shock absorber. In order for me to make this work I had to m...

Re: Black hard plastic restoration
I agree, except I prep more. Scotch brite to remove oxidation, then clean with soap/water and then alcohol to clean the surfaceJDT wrote:Krylon Fussion Satin Black get my vote.
No surface prep need.

77 Liquifire rear shock
I just re measured the shock Originally I measured it as 6.5 closed 8.5 open with 7/16 holes. measured this time to where the rust was bad on the rod. I got 7 closed and 8.5 open Looks like a 114-07 might work 7 closed and 9.5 open 7/16 holes Any thoughts? The only thing I would be concerned about ...

Tapatalk woes..
Apart from not being impressed with the new tapatalk layout, which we can do nothing about, I'm wondering if anyone else has had trouble posting pictures from the mobile app? Matt if you read this, I'm unsure whether you have the ability to look into this, but if you could it would be fantastic. Tha...

Re: Painting rubber snow flaps
FYI, if anyone else tries this, it will be inevitable you will get wax or wax residue on the areas you need the paint to stick. I used a commercial wax remover on a q-tip to remedy this. Works for ears too...

Newest attempt at painting my snowflap. Masked the majority with tinfoil, melted candle wax in, and spray painted (multiple THIN coats). I think it turned out not bad, hope this method doesn't crack... ImageUploadedByTapatalk1372971381.439650.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1372971396.826532.jpg ImageUpl...

Re: 1976 340 Cyclone Restoration
Hey Dustin, yeah like Scott said I had some NOS plastic. I suppose new ones could be reproduced easy enough, would just need the right material.
I assume Scott has my coils and your idlers, lol haven't talked to him much about sleds lately.
