400brian you mentioned the '72 battery box and starter are unique what is different about them?

Took my '72 500 for a ride tonight and found out whenever the brake light is on the headlight dims enough that it is very hard to see where I am going. Plus the last time I had my other '72 500 running it was doing the same thing. What could cause this?

I took grandfathers '72 500 apart today to replace the crank seals only to find the flywheel had worked loose on the crank shaft and wearing on the stator plate . So it looks like I need at least a new crank and possibly a flywheel.

Jeff emailed be back and wants to know what height windshield I need. What is the correct height for a '72?
