Re: 83 Liquifire Engine ID
I see in your pictures that you have the C heads. These are Deere heads. the Your tr800 drive clutch is right. Your carbs look right. The 83 carbs should have been jetted different from each other. The PTO side a little richer than the mag side. You do not have the HSR ignition set up. Your origina...

Re: 83 Liquifire Engine ID
I took some more pictures last night. It does not have the HSR ignition system on it. Still trying to determine what engine is in the sled, or what parts are still 83 and what is 80/81 if thats the case. Were the carbs different for 83 or will they visually look the same from 80-84? The sled has the...

83 Liquifire Engine ID
I just picked up a 83 LF but it appears that it does not have the correct engine in it. I'm trying to identify what engine is in the sled. The tag on the engine reads TC440A-A201 and the engine number is TC440A-033744. Is the engine number supposed to match the chassis number? Does the engine number...

Re: 80 Liquifire Suspension
As long as I'm working on the rear suspension, the spacer behind the idler wheel is loose and just rattling around. Is this supposed to by trapped by the idler wheel? Thanks

80 Liquifire Suspension
The shock mount on my 80 Liquifire looks like its been modified. Is this modification a factory or dealer installed? Or is this someones repair? Would this cause a suspension geometry issue? Does anybody sell an original shock? Thanks

Re: 80 Liquifire Jetting
Thanks JDGuy. On the needle jet I'm assuming the clip position is #4? Which end of the needle do they start from? Point of needle or the clip end? Thanks The sled runs up to about 7000 rpm at 3/4, but after that at WOT the sled turns into a turd and drops to about 6500. I want to check the jetting t...

Re: 80 Liquifire Clutch Questions.
Well I started working on the LF again. Went through the carbs again, still didn't find anything. Checked the exhaust to make sure it wasn't plugged up, appears to be ok. I pulled the secondary clutch a part. the bushings were a little sloppy so I replaced those in the sheeve and the cam. I did noti...

80 Liquifire Secondary Clutch End Play
Hello. How much side to side free play should there be on the secondary clutch? When I removed the secondary bolt I noticed that it was preloading the clutch. I saw the helix back off as I removed the bolt. Every other sled I have owned has had some play side to side on the shaft. Is this correct? I...

Re: 80 Liquifire Clutch Questions.
What belt are you using? Are your carb slides completely clearing your carb throats? Are your chokes sealing on the little raised lip inside the carbs or are those lips wore out? I'm using the 1107 belt. The slides are clearing the carb throats. Not sure about the chokes sealing, will check that ou...
