Re: Liquidator Track Cleat Reproduction

If your first choice can't do it, let me know. We make quite a bit of short run stuff using a waterjet and press / brake.

Re: 1978 Liquifire Cross Shafts

Thanks for the input! I had thought about using heat, but was afraid of the results listed in the last post. I'm going to try the muratic acid method & see what happens. I had already figured I's have to make new shafts. I may even have some shafts laying here from a previous sled repair. Thanks...

1978 Liquifire Cross Shafts

I'm trying to get done with a 78 Liquifire that I've been working on at my usual glacial pace. The rear suspension had no movement so I dropped it out. I had hoped that it would be something simple, but both cross shafts are frozen tight. Before I do something stupid I need to see if anyone has foun...

Re: Odd Liquidator Gaskets

If someone has CAD drawings of the gaskets you need I can cut them on the waterjet.

Re: Wanted - Liquifire Radiator Hose

Over all the sled is in pretty nice shape. If the owner ever decides to sell it my intention is for it to return to my barn. The thing has been stored inside, it's just that it has spent a lot of time sitting over the years. I'm going to pull the clutches and the suspension to check things over whil...

Re: Wanted - Liquifire Radiator Hose

This radiator hose is the only one that runs from the radiator to the heat exchanger. http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o35/boaski/001.jpg This sled also might need a jack shaft bearing: http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o35/boaski/002.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o35/boaski/003.jpg

Wanted - Liquifire Radiator Hose

I'm repairing a 1978 440 Liquifire for a friend. The sled is surprisingly nice and has always been kept inside. The radiator hose running from the radiator to the heat exchanger is looking a little rough. Do any of you guys have a new one? I'll be up at the A1 show on Saturday. Thanks, Todd Retterer...

Re: not a deere but a kawi

I've had 2 Invaders; a 340 and a 440LTD. They handled well but the 1980 Liquifire is more comfortable and has better wind protection. You're in for a real thrill the first time you go drift busting on an Invader... http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o35/boaski/Snowmobiles%20that%20have%20passed%20th...

Re: What can we do about tracks?

Could you revert back to the old cleat drive sprockets instead of the newer involute drive? If you did that it would be a lot simpler to have a track made. I know this wouldn't work with a high hp sled, but it should work for a Spitfire.

Re: John Deere Best in show at Toledo

I felt a little out of place today not wearing JD colors. You guys had a strong showing. I ended up going back and forth on Best in Show but I had to put my vote on Brocks sled as well. Nice job.

The next on the list s the 800 dator. Just a nice clean conversion. Impressive quality of workmanship.

Re: trailfire cutter

Holy Tongue Weight Batman! How did the L-fire ride with that load on the bumper? That was my first "go round" with that thing. The axle was way too far back. The Liquifire did OK with it. I pulled it with a F/A el Tigre once. That didn't go well; cost me a piston. Not sure if I have any m...

Re: trailfire cutter

Here's one I made out of a much abused Sportfire. The kids were pretty little then & they thought they were really big stuff on that.

Here's a link to my photobucket site. http://s116.photobucket.com/albums/o35/boaski/John%20Deere%20Snowmobiles/#!cpZZ1QQtppZZ16 The pictures starting after the ones of the 340s hood (long gone) are the ones I took this evening. It was a little awkward getting pictures since the sled is on the top sh...

1980 Liquifire for sale

I'm selling my 1980 Liquifire. I've owned this sled twice. All that I've done with it after the last purchase is put it up in the pallet rack. A previous owner painted the hood RED. It is serial #123400. It has a broken windshield. I have not ran it in a few years. It's been stored inside. I'm askin...
